CFC Sylvan Fingering
Our most popular base and our softest yarn. Sylvan is warmer than wool, with a fluid, weighty drape and a subtle sheen that gives our colors a tonal depth. It's made for pieces you want to wrap up in: shawls, cowls, hats, and drapey cardigans. This 3-ply, fingering weight yarn is perfect for knitting heirloom-quality sweaters, delicate shawls and lightweight cardigans. Note: The cool gray color is natural (undyed) and the absolute perfect neutral. It pairs beautifully with any color.

Dye Lots
As with any hand-dyed yarn, slight variations between batches are normal. If you order more than one skein of a color, we'll send skeins from the same dye lot. For larger projects, we recommend alternating skeins every few rows.
Notes
Sylvan has little elasticity, so that garments will relax with wear. Block and hang your swatch before measuring gauge. For longer-lasting garments, we recommend holding it with mohair to reduce pilling. Not recommended for socks. Hand wash cool and dry flat.

I made blouse no.1 out of Serene Fingering held double that I got at Flock, and it was a DREAM to work with. It's so soft, there's absolutely 0 itch whatsoever. Held double, the fabric is super plush and cozy without feeling too dense. I would LOVE to work it held single with a mohair bc oh my god that sounds incredible! I love every single base I've used and the colors are always on point. The dyes are so consistent that even the unevenly dyed sets I've bought on sale are workable in sweaters without much yarn management.
