Which Yarn Do I Pick?

Mohair

Gives a gorgeous halo. Holding together with another yarn is popular in many patterns. It also helps minimize pilling.

Suri

Great alternative if mohair makes you itchy. Extremely soft and fluffy. Hold two strands together to make fingering weight.

Shimmer

Exactly like our Suri base but with a subtle shimmer. It can bring a slight elegance to delicate shawls, neckwear, and sweaters.

Fuzzy Yak

Naturally, our softest halo. Hold it with another yarn for a beautiful marled effect or knit it alone for an heirloom piece you'll wear for years.

Gauge + Yarn

Yarn weight gets you in the right range, but gauge is what decides how your piece fits. Lace weight usually knits at:

33 - 40 stitches over 4 inches on
US 000 to 1 (1.5 to 2.25mm) knitting needles.
And  *** crochet needles.

Knit a swatch and block it before you measure, even if the label matches your pattern. Lace yarn is great for shawls, wraps, airy layering pieces, lacework, and holding double with another yarn.
