One of our strongest and most elegant yarns — spun from a beautiful blend of merino, silk, and yak for a long-lasting, luxurious feel.

Our Yak yarn is one of the softest and most durable fibers available — it feels similar to cashmere and is also warmer than wool. This 4-ply, DK weight yarn is the warmest, silkiest, and most scrumptious yarn for cool weather sweaters, scarves, and hats. Next-to-skin softness is perfect for babies and children too.

Patterns Using Yak DK

Cityscape Cowl

Yarn Color Dark Chocolate. This asymmetrical cowl features a timeless cabled pattern and polished i-cord edging. It is worked flat on a bias and then seamed. This pattern includes charted and written instructions.

Mila Pullover

The Mila pullover has a relaxed fit with dropped shoulders. It is knitted seamlessly top down with an allover cable pattern that is a lot easier than it first appears and is suitable for knitters who are just learning to knit cables.

Latte Cardigan

Yarn Color Coffee. Latte is a hip-length cardigan featuring an allover texture stitch pattern and generous oversized pockets. The front, back, and sleeves are all worked in pieces from the bottom up, and seamed. Finally, the vertical button band is knitted onto the neck opening.
