Softer and dreamier than Mohair, this baby alpaca blend is begging to be worn next to skin. The perfect substitute for sensitive skin in patterns which call for mohair, especially if you find it itchy. The natural yak gives it a light brown-grey tone, almost like milk tea. We can’t wait to see the dreamy, breathable, wear everywhere projects you make with this special base.

Dye Lots
As with any hand-dyed yarn, slight variations between batches are normal. If you order more than one skein of a color, we'll send skeins from the same dye lot. For larger projects, we recommend alternating skeins every few rows.
Notes
Suri has very little elasticity, so fabric will drape and lengthen with wear. Block and hang your swatch to get most accurate gauge measurment. Holding 2 Suri lace together makes a light, airy fabric that's incredibly soft and holds its shape well.

My very favorite base is Sylvan Fingering. It is a 3 ply fingering weight yarn comprised of Alpaca, Silk, and Cashmere. I love knitting shawls and wraps with it. There are so many gorgeous colors to choose from!

I love every single base I've used and the colors are always on point. The dyes are so consistent that even the unevenly dyed sets I've bought on sale are workable in sweaters without much yarn management.
