Join us for a beginner-friendly knitting class designed to help you build confidence in your knitting. We will guide you through the process of knitting a great project in 4 weeks. You should know the basics of casting on and the knit, purl stitch for this workshop. We will be available to help and guide you along the way! Supplies not included. Don't worry, they will be available for purchase if you don't have them! All students get 20% off in-store purchase during the weekly duration of this class.
When: April 30 - May 21. Wednesday nights for 4 weeks
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm (2 hours)

What to bring: 2-3 skeins of DK or Worsted weight. 1 Mohair lace. Circular Needles size US7 (4.5mm), US4 (3.5mm), US2.5 (3.0mm)
Class Breakdown:
- Week 1: Foundations and flat knitting. In our first session, you'll cast on and work the top portion of the project flat, building confidence with foundational techniques while shaping the first upper sections of the vest.
- Week 2: Picking up stitches & mirroring the top. Now that we have one section, it's time to pick up the stitches! You'll learn how to seamlessly transition into the second top half of your vest, repeating the same knitting process to ensure both front and back pieces are completed.
- Week 3: Join in the round & body shaping. With both sections ready, we'll join in the round and begin working the body of the vest. We'll discuss shaping options, such as tapering the was it for a fitted look and explore how to modify the length for cropped vs. standard waist designs.
- Week 4: Finishing touches - ribbing & edges. You'll learn to pick up stitches in multiple directions to create ribbed edging for the collar and armholes, giving your piece a clean and stylish finish.
