The DK and Aran weight are slightly different. Aran has more Baby Alpaca + Merino blown into the cotton tube to create the thickness we desire. Therefore they also dye differently. The Aran base is more matte. Look at photo to see comparison.
Som (means Cotton in Korean) - Alpaca and Pima Cotton are fibers we usually associate with drape, but the wonderful construction of this yarn adds loft and structure to this super soft blend. It's soft enough for sensitive skin, with a gentle halo, and breathable enough to wear across seasons. A good choice for knitters who love the look of mohair but find it itchy.
