Get Inspired - Yak DK

Wanting to try our Yak DK base, but don't know where to start? Check out some of our favorite pattern suggestions below!

One of our most popular bases, our Yak yarn is one of the softest and most durable fibers available — it feels similar to cashmere and is also warmer than wool. The gray base of the yarn gives a special richness not available on our other bases. This 4-ply, DK weight yarn is the warmest, silkiest, and most luxurious yarn for cool weather sweaters, scarves, and hats. Next-to-skin softness is perfect for babies and children too.

This yarn would work well for garments in crochet. In order to create structure, knit garments would be better off seamed. Otherwise, a pattern with a textured stitch, either knit/purl or cabled, will work best for this yarn. Alternatively, a pattern that calls for a drapey yarn like a swingy cardigan would work well for Yak DK.
